What is a Waterlase Laser?

The award-winning Waterlase system is a safe and gentle alternative to traditional dental tools. Using laser energy and water spray, Waterlase can perform many procedures without a shot or a drill.

The Waterlase is a dental laser that enables the dentist to use minimal or in some cases no anaesthetic or drills to perform many routine dental procedures. Some of the benefits of using Waterlase are:

  • Virtually painless
  • A more natural form of dentistry
  • Safe and precise
  • More convenient
  • Reduced risk of cross contamination

The Waterlase Course

The Waterlase Course

The one-day training course, led by Dr Mark Cronshaw, is developed around the use of the Er,Cr:YSGG erbium laser. This laser is considered an “all tissue” laser through its capacity to target soft tissue, hard dental and osseous tissue. The presentation is offered as an inclusive one-day event, with didactic slide presentations, together with a practical session to allow techniques to be developed on animal oral tissue. The course is further supported by a dedicated user manual.

Courses are scheduled for weekend attendance to maximise attendance opportunity. The course is ideal for those new laser users as well as providing an opportunity for complete novices to establish a grounding in erbium laser technology and application. The erbium laser training day course is open to all members of the dental team.
