Diode Lasers
in Dentistry
One Day Conference
A DIODE LASER is an effective adjunct to oral soft tissue surgery, due to incisional haemostasis, and effective tissue vaporisation. Furthermore, it can be used to kill pathogens and is of use in periodontalΒ and endodontic decontamination.
LASER THERAPY is a very useful adjunct to the management of pain, inflammation and infection, and can be used to improve the quality of tissues repair and regeneration.
COURSE CONTENT: Complimentary 2 x 1 hour pre-course Tutorials – Laser INTRO and Laser Photobiomodulation ESSENTIALS.
One day combined didactic and practical exploration of the DIODE LASER in dentistry.
Referred to as photobiomodulation (PMB) – with a little training, this treatment is a fairly short learning curve to adding indispensable daily aid to patient care in any clinical practice.
The diode laser is a useful soft tissue laser as well as an instrument to deliver photobiomodulation and adjunct to tooth whitening. A one-day inclusive course, led by Steven consists of combined didactic and practical elements. The slide presentations are supported by an extensive course manual. Practical sessions allow the demonstration and practice of chosen techniques using the diode laser on
animal oral tissue.
Courses are scheduled for weekend attendance to maximise attendance opportunity. The course is ideal for those new laser users as well as providing an opportunity for complete novices to establish a grounding in diode laser technology and application. The diode laser training day course is open to all members of the dental team.
Course Content
Soft tissue surgery: Gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, frenectomy and frenotomy, vestibuloplasty, operculectomy, troughing, depigmentation, arrest of haemorrhage

Success Stories
Thank you so much for the wonderful programme. The lectures, hands-on and lunches were excellent.
Trust we can engage more on the role of dental lasers in pediatric dental care.
Great attention to detail. Mark is very clear and enthusiastic. Well balanced science, case presentation and practical. Great to encounter a real world dentist with a practical approach.
